I hadn't seen my friend Rick in a while, so when he suggested dinner, I was only too happy to comply. We picked this date as we were both free, and met up at the Covent Garden tube station after work.
I had suggested potentially going to my club, but Rick was just back from a crazy couple of days in Ireland with his co-workers, and suggested we just do something more low-key, like grabbing burgers at a pub and having a few beers. It was just as he'd hoped, a nice time as we found a table down in a low passage way, eating burgers and drinking beer, and laughing at all of the beers on the house list, as this was one of those places that claims to have beers from all over the world.
After dinner, a band started playing that was making it hard for us to talk, so we went across the street to a Mexican place to get the one beer that had not been on the list at our previous place: Coronas. Yes, can you believe it, on the Mexican beer list they had Sol but not Corona?
Two more Coronas and then we were pretty spent for the night, but thoroughly caught up and enjoying a good catch-up with an old friend!
