More Moving and Body Pump

As you might guess, a frequent theme of my days is becoming "how many boxes did you manage to move today?" Made two more trips over today, so slowly it's getting there, although I think I'm also realising quite how much there is still left to do.

Although it might seem silly to buy more things to move right before moving, I had promised a friend I would play squash with her on Wednesday, but my squash racquet is actually back in New York. I'd thought about bringing it with me on my most recent trip back, but as the racquet only cost £10 in the first place, it really seemed easier just to buy a new one.

Unfortunately, the price of squash racquets seems to have gone up a bit since 2003, and I'd also delayed a bit on the local sporting goods store's 20%-off sale, so now the sale was over and the £15 racquets really seemed to be too cheap to bother with. Hence, a £20 racquet it was!

I managed to get through my shopping task quickly enough to make it to the "Core" class at the gym, which was basically 20 minutes of non-stop situps.

Then after that, it was time for Body Pump, although I was quite curious as to what was going on with the instructor, for she had all of these weird red-and-purple splotches all over her legs and arms, almost making it look like she'd been in a fight. (She's so incredibly muscular, I've often wondered if perhaps she does boxing or something like that, so perhaps it was the marks of a fight, who knows?)

Still, she used her agression to motivate us through the class, and eventually we all got ourselves through a good workout. Then home for a relatively relaxed evening at home continuing to read Ken Follet's "World Without End." That book is definitely getting in the way of me making much progress with packing!
