Although I was working from home, after only a few hour's sleep at 8 AM, I had to drag myself up, through the shower, and in front of my laptop. I did not disturb the sleeping boy in my bed, living in fear that he'd attempt to drag me back down for some more "cuddling". I'd had enough of that for one night, thank you very much!
Sometime around 10:30-11 AM, he woke up and put in an appearance. (Thank goodness SOMEBODY got some sleep out of this whole ordeal!) I sort of wondered what on earth he was going to do about his job, but he didn't seem all that concerned. We had some breakfast and weirdly got into a discussion about real estate, but didn't discuss much of significance, I suppose because he was still feeling a bit disoriented by everything, and he'd had a lot more to drink the night before than I'd had.
Although, I did wish I'd had a chance to ask a bit more about a comment he'd made the previous night, where he apologized for how he'd reacted after we'd hooked up three years ago. Just absolutely flipped out. The same way Dr T had. And so I'd been tremendously curious about WHY, and why on earth I seem to provoke this reaction in men, particularly when hooking up with friends. Unfortunately, in his drunken state he hadn't really been able to explain, but he'd just continually apologized, stating it was one of the bigger mistakes of his life, reacting the way he had. So curious, and it made me wonder if things would have turned out differently if he'd reacted differently. Perhaps Dr T is thinking the same thing...
I had a conference call at noon, so although I would have liked to continue our random morning chat, I had to turn my attention to work (didn't he as well?) and so he took that opportunity to skip out.
I absolutely dragged myself through the work day, I was so exhausted, but finally at the end of the day I admonished myself for not going to the gym that morning, and so made it out that evening. (Perhaps I was also avoiding my flatmate, as I didn't want to have to explain the events of the night before?) Suffered through a "Core" class (20 minutes of sit-ups), then a 45-minute Body Pump class, and walked a bit on the treadmill. Not bad, on the whole.
Finally home, had a quick chat with my boss whilst I was making dinner, and eventually ate some lovely green thai curry before turning into an early bedtime! Boy was I tired!
