I'd put as my New Year's resolution that I was going to go to the gym three days a week, but so far I wasn't making much progress towards that resolution. So finally after work today, I was determined to make up for it.
I got to the gym at 5:40 PM, in time for the 20-minute core class, which was basically 20 minutes of the instructor guys making you do sit-ups. Absolute torture.
Then, because I was already at the gym, I decided to stick around for the spin class. Not a bad class, and it did burn a good 450 calories according to my HR monitor.
I then had an hour to go before the evening Body Pump class, so I did 20 minutes of intervals on the elliptical machine, and then just collapsed in their seating area to just sit for a while, I was getting tired!
Still, I managed to stick it out through the Body Pump class, although I definitely did not manage my usual weights or endurance. Perhaps I'd done a bit of over-kill here, and might do well to take it a bit easier in the future!
When I got home, I found another message from the random Italian guy who asked me out on the train, so I finally conceeded to read what he'd written yesterday, which was, "Hi beautiful star, how are you? I work at 17 :( have nice evening. Ciao" Oh good, so he hadn't been able to see me yesterday anyway. But today he had written, "Hi, how are you? I thought your smail. When can i see you? Vincenzo"
"I thought your smail?" I really can't even figure out what that might have been in predictive text. How strange. But definitely not worth answering...
