As I was still trying to recover from all of my crazy nights out, it was a bit of a slow Sunday, but as the rain was coming down and I didn't feel like doing much, it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday.
To my credit, I did make it out to my yoga class, which is always a good way to spend an hour and a half. I had my yoga instructor help me move from "bridge pose" into "upward bow pose", by holding onto her legs. Which was kind of weird, but yet cool that I could do it. I will say that's the one thing I like about my yoga instructor, is that while she never wants us to do anything beyond our abilities, she always seems to know just how far she can push us and get us to try new things.
I then went grocery shopping, as my friend Zhan from Oxford was coming to stay with me that night, and I'd told him that I would cook dinner for us. So I did up a roast chicken, potatoes in goose fat (don't think I did them quite right, but they were still delicious), and then when Zhan arrived, I set him to work making pumpkin bread. Admittedly, since I only had two eggs, instead of the recipe-required four, we had to halve the recipe, but that still made two excellent loaves of pumpkin bread!
Then we spent most of the evening just talking about statistics (this is my friend Zhan, the math-stats-and-genetics geek, so this is what we talk about), and the merits of various stats programs when analyzing data. And Zhan introduced me to Armstrong and Miller, perhaps two of the funniest sketch-commedians on television. Mostly though, it was just a nice night in, hanging out with a good friend. I always love those kind of nights!
