After being out until 5 AM two nights in a row, I certainly wasn't up for doing much today. Plus, although I wasn't too badly off, I'd definitely violated the "no hangover" rule, and was feeling quite headache-y. So when snow started falling all over London, I was only too eager to take advantage of the excuse to stay in for the entire day!
It was a lovely day in that I not only caught my parents online for a chat, but my brother popped up online with my niece on the video chat, so I got to see my super-cute niece on the web cam. Funny how "talking" to my niece always makes me smile for hours afterwards!
In the evening, Doro texted me to say that one of her friends had canceled on going out for a comedy show in Soho, and would I like to come along, and I was tempted to say yes, given how reflexively I always say "yes" to things when people ask me out. Yet for once I think I showed a modicum of sense and turned her down.
In the end I didn't quite get the early bedtime I'd been aiming for (worked on Christmas cards and catching up on this blog), but it was nice to have a slow day in for once...
